Seems like a silly question, but when the form asks to ‘provide any additional information to help us understand your circumstances better’, is it written from the perspective of the student or should the custodial parent write the additional details? The questions asked before this section seems to ask for information that a student wouldn’t normally know like whether the non-custodial parent claimed the student as a dependent or not. So I was wondering if the additional details should be completed by the student or not.
They usually want these forms filled out from the student perspective (even if you are the one filling it out). The information should be the same either way just the way it is worded.
