I find it sad that many try to equate this religion with terrorism. I have met many Muslims who are indeed very friendly people, and not terrorists.

What is your basis for judging Muslims? Anything, and I mean anything can be taken out of context.
-The media / FOX News
-Websites that intentionally take things out of context to deride Muslims
-Muslims
-The holy book of Muslims, the Quran

Stereotyping an entire religion (~23% of the Earth’s population) is stupid. However, though it may not be a culture, it is a lifestyle (just like other religions). Nevertheless, culture does play a huge role for many Muslims I have seen; perhaps more so than their religion.

I’ve seen Muslims who were Arab, Indian, African American, Pacific Islander, white/European, and even Mongoloid. And people follow their religion to varying degrees.

I personally dont have any problem with muslims, but i think other ppls problem is that every terrorist has been a muslim, so it is a natural association(right or wrong).

Everyone needs a scapegoat, (i am not trying to compare the americans to nazi’s) in WWII the germans and hitler used the jews to blame all bad things that happen in the world.

I think Christianity and Islam are the two most dangerous and harmful religions, due to their popularity, emphasis on conversion, and high-stakes zero-sum nature of their doctrines (for example, all non-believers go to hell forever).

I respect those of any faith that are good people. I do not respect Muslims preaching hate just as I don’t respect other Christians preaching hate.

You mean national liberators? If you intended this to be taken as the CIRA or the RIRA, say that. The IRA was 1916-1921, and was an army of a Republic taking back control from an oppressive foreign monarchy. For the modern-day groups that harm civilians, use CIRA or RIRA.

I think people who get angry over religions and hate people because they are a certain religion is wrong. I dont really care what religion people are. Every time it gets brought up, people get mad and write mean things. Its kind of funny because it doesn’t really matter whose religion is better. There are too many different reliogions , so i don’t know who is right. And there are so many diferent kinds of people in the USA, i dont think it matters.

All religion have good and bad. You can find Christian killers, Muslim killers, Jewish killers, Buddhist killers etc. Best to judge by individuals. Everyone is human, everyone has the need for respect, dignity, trust, etc.

Why not continue this “sensitive topic”? It’s only “sensitive” because people make it out to be, because people don’t engage in the type of dialogue and conversation that leads to further understanding and would rather take the easy way- scapegoating.

I think this is a great topic and will post my views later.
