Non Traditional Address?

Hi so I am a non traditional student looking to apply to college, in high school I went to a large suburban middle class poorly ranked school but after I moved to the Bronx (closer to work and many friends from there). Basically I am financially independent in the Bronx and have been for close to a year (I’m 20) so for address for colleges should I put my parents address or my current one? Will putting living in the Bronx worsen my chances of getting into Ivy’s? I have done a lot since then such as writing for a major news company and working in one of the poorest schools in the South Bronx to further empower black and Hispanic students, I just really don’t want to look lesser in terms of ability saying I live in the Bronx.

Schools love diversity. Be truthful, also coming from the Bronx is a hook. They love rags to riches stories. Are you in school now? Did you graduate high school?

Use the address where you live. You don’t live with your parents, and if you are financially independent, don’t confuse matters.
