Nonglare tape?

For those who have had kids fill out the paperwork necessary to go from National Merit Semifinalist to Finalist:

The essay is supposed to be affixed to the application with “nonglare tape.”

Does anybody know what brands or types of tape qualify as “nonglare”?

Scotch Brand “Magic” tape is “nonglare” – meaning…it’s matte finish – not glossy. (Glossy finish sometimes reflects back into a scanner or photcopier, so if it covers up words, parts of the scan or copy can’t be read.)

Thank you, 2boysima.

LOL, this thread is the first result on google for “nonglare tape.”

And I have to thank you too!

this thread has been most helpful - im guessing any matte tape would work. just not the “transparent” kind.

thanks!

I can’t believe this thread still exists (and can be found on Google).

My daughter, on whose behalf I started the thread when she was filling out the National Merit paperwork, is now a sophomore in college.

Well, thanks Marian. The applications for the 09er batch are due around now (my school’s selfimposed deadline is tomorrow) so I’m sure a lot of us will be searching the internet for this very question.

HAHAH i googled “nonglare tape” also, and this was the first link. that’s actually really funny

Same! hahahaha great, thanks

I keep hoping they will put this on a pdf and not have to cut and paste…I remember HOW much of a pain this was…Congrats…

Good to know what they mean by nonglare tape, but literally cut and paste in this day and age?!

Finding nonglare tape is the easy part - getting D to finish the essay is trickier ;)
