I’m a junior and am in all honors classes except for a full year english/social science class that is required at my school. My guidance couselor suggested to not do honors since I had a heavy course load with my math and science classes being all honors level. My lowest grade in an english class has been an A- and I have always done honors classes. Like a fool, I actually listened to her thinking she knew what she was talking about. The class is a joke and I couldn’t switch out. Will it matter that I didn’t take this class honors if I want to get into an Ivy since this is my Junior year?

It all depends on the context of your school. At my school, few people take more than 3 honors per year, but “honors” one place doesn’t mean the same thing someplace else.

My guess is it won’t make a really big difference. Relax!

ummmm…geee…chill…you will be fine…

lol agreed with citygirlsmom, one nonhonor isnt going to kill you, the guidance ppl will still check off most demanding schedule available if thats the only class u skiped
