I finally have time to return to college after a >10-year gap. I didn’t finish undergrad the first time around due to medical issues. Now I plan to major in Comp Sci, take the prerequisites and raise my GPA at GPC, & then transfer to a 4-year college in ATL. Hopefully GT, but the problem is that I left my previous school in academic probation. Does anyone know if GA Tech is completely unforgiving of their good standing requirement?

The story with my previous college experience - My first 3 years were decent (3.25 GPA) and then I got sick & things pretty much abruptly went to hell. I withdrew from one semester & the rest I was taking 1-2 classes and failing at least 1 each term. I yo-yo’d between good standing & academic probation. When I finally got diagnosed I was in such bad shape that I didn’t even think to formally withdraw from classes. So I got 5 Fs which put me in academic probation (2.49 overall GPA). I was a Bio major then, since I thought I wanted to go to med school.

Anyway, now I’m married & live in Atlanta. My previous college is in CA and they don’t offer online classes so I can’t just retake courses to fix my standing with them.

So…any ideas/advice? Thanks.
