@showmom858 - funny story - I told the story in another thread (that I started) that we had to cancel our credit cards last week because we were burglarized and they got H’s wallet. So I’ve been without a credit card since last weekend. But I really wanted to try out the Zella leggings based on your recommendation, so I went online and found them; however, I had no credit card to pay for them with (and was not up for going to our closest store which is over a half hour away), so H suggested I call D1 and ask her to place an order for me with her credit card, ship them to me, and then just transfer the money over to her. So I called her and laid out my request, and of course, if it has anything to do with shopping, she was game. She asked me what I wanted and I told her I wanted three pair of the Zella leggings (two black, one navy), and she quipped back, “That’s what I’m wearing right now!” Then she proceeded to tell me that whenever she comes home and is wearing leggings, it’s always Zella.

So you and D have made me a new convert (well, I hope I like them when they get here).

REI is also having a sale on their summer stuff. I bought a couple Patagonia skirts that also can be halter dresses.
I havent even looked through the fall catalog and it used to be a big event, where I git a lot of shopping done for the upcoming school year.

I once spent so much at the Nordstrom sale my credit card called with a fraud alert. I haven’t been that pleased lately. I did order some “personables” and the leggings everyone is talking about. I also ordered a cashmere sweater. If anyone uses Purology lotions, etc., they have some great deals. I bought their face cleanser, which I’ve never used before, because it seemed like a good deal. They gave me samples to try before I open the “jug” size that was on sale. I managed to spend several hundred bucks, mostly on me, but I got a couple of things for my sons.

For the last two decades our visits home were booked to include the Anniversary sale. I grew up loading up on sweaters, jackets, new shoes, etc. As late as 2005 I found great deals. Shopped the sale last year and came home with nothing. Seriously, not one thing of quality.

I loved the Anniversary Sale for years. I used to buy lots of fall clothes for the girls, a few things for me (including a well loved leather jacket) and gifts for July and August birthdays. I always loved the 100% cotton nightshirts in fun prints. They are not there any more. The have also seriously downsized the Petites department. Someone must be buying what they are selling.

Odd… A Nordstrom package just appeared on my doorstep. Maybe it was misdelivered and a neighbor dropped off. There is an insert that invites me to brag about my sale purchases on Instagram! LOL. I’m thinking about sending a link to this thread instead. I know some people in social media marketing with ties to Nordstrom, so maybe I should bring this up to their attention.
