DD waitlisted - OOS. Considering that she applied to 12 schools and this is the only one she didnāt get into, we can live with that. She will be declining her place on the waitlist

S25 accepted OOS (CA) for business/finance after EA deferral! Received an email with status update just before 2 PST. No mention of merit but Iād be surprised if we did. UWGPA 3.87 / WGPA 4.5 / SAT 1440.

we got in EA and invited to apply for the ben franklin scholars thing; deferred on honors college. honors notifies on april 4, and admissions told me in a phone call (super nice woman btw), that their goal is merit by next friday 3/28, but given how large the applicant pool was it may be 4/4 as well. good luck!

Do you think confirming enrollment reduces the chances for merit scholarships?
i wouldnāt commit before april 4 just in case, but thatās just my own opinion. i really canāt say if it does or does not.
My son enrolled and we paid the AED. I can see it pending on my credit card, but his portal says enrollment isnāt complete and to pay. Iām sure that it just needs time. We are trying to check his school email, but it doesnāt seems to be finalized yet.
Anyone else canāt get into the ncsu email system yet? Clearly we can get into the pack portal. Unity is working to that extent and as I said we paid the AED and itās no longer showing as needing to be done on the tiles. Iād just love to see that message on wolfpaw say we are done.
I seem to remember 2 yrs ago that the email system took a bit and they use your personal one as the preferred initially for some time before they āflipā your preferred email to the ncsu one.
No, there is a scholarship portal and that is where money will come from. In general, NC State doesnāt give merit right off the bat like some schools.
FWIW, mine was accepted EA last year and accepted into honors college and was not offered any merit. VERY FEW students are accepted into honors. If those kids (in general) arenāt getting money, almost no one will. But they do have tons of scholarships to apply for!
2 yrs ago my older son was given $2000 and $400 and they did again for his second year. He is in-state and we enrolled the night we found out. I was surprised. Not sure he will get it again for his 3rd.
I have zero idea what to expect for my youngest son given the fears universities are having with grants and hoarding $. We went ahead and enrolled. No need to wait. I donāt think people are going to get much of anything this year. Between the circumstances with the state of the untion and also it give an excuse not to.
Hello! Did anyone get Spring Connect admission after being deferred?
S25 (in-state) got waitlisted (for Electrical Engineering) after being deferred from EA. He will withdraw and make his final choice this weekend, no need to wait anymore
