Anyone have a hotel recommendation? We stayed a bit further from campus when we toured last year.
Is Sunday, 3/23, really the RD announcement date? It’s the Sunday part that surprises me.
I have not seen anything this year saying that was the date. There’s a rumor that today is the day. Officially NCSU’s site says it will be March 30 but they typically release on the Friday before. I would have guessed next Friday.
My source was the college kickstart website. But just moments ago we found out that the portal has been updated with decisions.
Does anyone think decisions might come this week based off history?

No. It should be the 28th. People look back and get confused thinking it’s based on week number. However, it’s based on the Friday prior to the 30th and that’s the 28th. It would be unprecedented to come out sooner unless it was for international students maybe? They do it the Friday before so they can put out the decisions and not have to deal with questions for a few days. I really wish it was this week, but I and 99.9% sure it’s not. It’s painful at this point for all. We are all nervous to our stomachs. I supposed though anything is possible.
Last year someone posted this in the forum on the release dates from the last several years of NC State. This is the only reason the thoughts of this Friday looked like a good thought

I’m also hopeful that it’ll be this week. I’m ultimately expecting my daughter to be waitlisted but it would be nice to have closure.

Based on the data provided above:
- 2020: March 20 (3rd Friday)
- 2021: March 26 (4th Friday)
- 2022: March 25 (4th Friday)
- 2023: March 24 (4th Friday)
- 2024: March 22 (3rd Friday)
Last Friday in March this year would be the 28th, which is later than anything in recent history, where as this Friday (3rd Friday) would be the 21st, just one day earlier than last year and later than 2020 release date.
However, from 2020 to 2024, each release date has occurred in week 12, which would be the 4th Friday this year (28th).
It seems like it’s 50/50…

Does anyone else not have a withdraw button anymore?
Haven’t had the withdrawal for a while now. I am not certain if it returned or not after being deferred. But when I looked a few weeks ago, it was not there and this was the first time I actually noticed.

My daughter does not have a withdraw button anymore, and that was the case a week or two ago as well.

I didn’t notice as I haven’t signed into my portal in a hot second!
Upon further research, this is also week 12, so all signs point to this Friday, but who knows!!

I have my daughter’s login… I can’t remember why I signed in, probably I was looking for the admitted students day that is on this Saturday. (It’s full.) Their other admitted students day is on April 12 which is a tough weekend for us. It is a moot point unless she is admitted, but this time of year is so busy that I wanted to be prepared!

I see the same on my side. But, the weird thing is, why can I register for the event if not yet admitted? Even if admitted I cannot go, because I have a conflict 
If you try to go all the way through the registration and you don’t get an error, you’re probably in. But when I hit Submit I got an error. This was a little while ago, I guess I could try again today for fun.
