North Carolina State Class of 2029 Official RD Thread

I got the same.

I know last year around this time people were trying to figure out their unity id and were successful

Yes, I logged into my unity ID before EA this year (according to last years thread) and I was able to see my AED (and then got accepted!)

Has anyone tried to get their unity id to work yet this week and it worked?

My portal changed…it used to have the Regional AdCom’s photo and a little blurb about them and calling the Northeast home, now it’s gone.

I would think that if no one is able to get their unity ID to work by Friday, that it would be safe to assume they will not be releasing decisions this week.

We aren’t trying that. It also doesn’t look like many people are checking this forum either. I’d have expected it to be more chatty this close to decision. I know there’s not a RD one, but surely people would check in here.

Yes I agree with that!

Does anyone else have an entirely new application in their portal called ā€œ2026 Spring First Yearā€?

:thinking:what does it look like. Our wolf paw portal looks the exact same

Nothing new on my daughter’s portal.

Exactly the same as it has been…

Interesting…that makes me think they will release Friday and you will be invited to join Spring '26.

Has anyone tried to access their unity id at all? By last years thread it seemed like some were able to get in a couple days ahead of time.

It probably means nothing but if I can sign up for this is it a good sign?

I would say it’s a good thing. I just tried and was unable to sign up.

it could, I tried the same thing for Stony Brook EA the day before they came out in their second wave (1/31) and then immediately cancelled it. Then, the day they were supposed to come out, I tried again and it wouldn’t let me, and later that day, I got my deferral…
so…I guess potentially?
ETA: also got an error like @sbn1203

We are avoiding with all strength to not try all these loopholes. So far we have resisted. I wish they didn’t exist. Seems it causes more stress than it does help and also we don’t want to mess anything up. Wish the web design people avoided these paths. Don’t think anything is set in stone until it’s 100% complete. Changes may still be being made to portals even if they try releasing tomorrow. They could overshoot numbers and need to retract. None of us really know what goes on behind the scenes.

Honestly wish I had the ability to resist looking here.

I agree this is probably a good sign. I’m not expecting my daughter to get in based on historical information, and still getting an error when I try to register her for an admitted students event.

My daughter was also able to sign up so I am hoping it is a good sign. Guess we will find out soon!
