Perhaps those without the withdrawal button that canât get in with the hack are denied, that is why they canât get in. Just thinking out loud. We will know tomorrow. Any idea what time they release decisions?

My friend and I come from a prestigious engineering program in a competitive public HS in NC that sends 30+ people a year to NCSU. I have a 4.4 and a 36 and he has a 4.5 and a 31. Neither of us have the button and the hack doesnât work for us, I really doubt thatâs the case, at least I hope notâŠ

Hack is if no middle name. Only first letter of first name and first 6 letters of lastname.

I tried both and it didnât work, I have a middle name and a last name > 6 letters.

Did you try going in the other way ? Hit password reset first , do security questions first , change password
Then log back in with original user name and new password ?

Withdraw button disappeared since I posted 3 hrs ago. OOS last name W, not a clear admit. Havenât tried the hack.
My withdraw just disappeared! I had to post even though I really donât want to get caught up in this!

yeah mine just left too, within the last half hour. Hopefully that means I get a decision thats not a deferral, for better or worse im done with deferrals, too much waiting.

From my experience in the last couple of years with NC State - they donât reject anyone EA - I donât remember a single person being rejected EA but things might have changed. Both of my other kids were deferred 2022, and 2023 eventually in later (they both ended up in top 25 universities and not NC State) - their withdraw button went missing minutes before EA decision. But things could change.

any correlation between who can do the hack and when they lost the withdrawl button?
I lost the button at least yesterday and couldnât get into the system until 3:00 pm today . But the first hack way didnât work, I did the second and got in
Do you remember if some students got on waiting lists in this first EA round?
D24 doesnât want to do the hacks, too nerve wracking and arbitrary for her, sheâd rather wait til tomorrow but I am just worried about all the different ways this could go and trying to mentally prepare for every outcome so I can give her the best advice.
I think sheâd rather be deferred than wait listed, and I think weâd still wait with deferral but not if wait listed as she has 4 other options.
The waiting sucks. I cannot imagine how anxious all these kids will be tomorrow plus us crazy parents! And to make matters worse, my D24 wonât even be home tomorrow afternoon when decisions supposedly come out because she has an after-school activity.

In the last two years, I never heard of any decision EA other than accept or defer. But, of course, things could have changed and also, maybe people were rejected outright or waitlisted and did not want to say but I never saw that on this site and did not hear that around our groups (we are in state and everyone applies to NC State and UNC).
