Found the NC State directory - https://directory.ncsu.edu/
Anyone who is able to get into the portal, is your name listed in the student directory?
nope
Nope
Nope
Only staff is listed
I wouldnât think your name would be in the directory unless you committed
That wasnât the case for Tennessee.
NC State seems like a hard admit for OOS. If i read correctly, 82% of attendees must be from NC so what is the OOS acceptance rate?
That seems strange that TN would accept 30,000 people (making this up) and place them in the directory while knowing only 7,000 will attend. Not that I donât believe you but it seems weird to do
Hack isnât working for me. Thinking itâs a rejection?
UTK did a lot of odd things this year around admissionsâŠ1) SRAR glitch; 2) portal changes that seemed to imply admission for folks that were not; 3) allowing folks to sign up for admitted student days with an email back saying congrats and listing major for folks not getting in; 4) putting folks in directory who were admitted and then shutting it downâŠ
Yikes! That sounds like a nightmare!
where did it break down?
Just doesnât work from the beginning. Says invalid unity ID or whatever
Yes- hard admit for OOS for sure. Itâs a North Carolina thing. The state requires a big chunk of admits reserved for state residents. Carolina/chapel hill is similar.
did you put unity ID in and the password at same time?
I think so. Iâll try again when I get time
I searched this the other day. I know of students admitted EA, and their names are not there. I also know of another student who accepted (and enrolled) and he is there. So I think your name is in the directory only if you accepted enrollment and paid the deposit.
There were ppl admitted EA who couldnât make the hack work all the way up until
The morning of the release day. And some were admitted and never could make it work. I think they upload decisions in batches too so it is likely ongoing until the emails are sent. Fingers crossed for you. And me ![]()
Yes hopefully, good luck! Been deferred from 5 schools and of the 3 that have come back Iâm 3/3 accepted (although one wasnât for first choice major) so I think thereâs something that they like in me.
