North Face Jacket

I’ve been wanting to get a North Face fleece for some time now, and with my birthday coming up, i’d figure its a good time to get one. I want something lightweight, yet will keep me warm. What are the styles that are most popular? It seems there’s the Aurora, Pumori, and the Khumbu style. I can’t get to a store to try them on, but I’ve come to the conclusion that there’s really only one or two styles that are the most popular.

404;

for the color choose the one that’s graphite/black. I’ve gotten plenty of comments for wearing this one.

The Khumbu style is the best one.

I’m a chick, so I need womans’ jackets.

I want a fleece

404;

That kind looks nice on girls in pink

Yeah, I like that one and the Pumori style, but the Denali is $165, which is kind of pricey.
Does anyone have a preference? I’m not looking for something big and heavy and superwarm, but something that would do well between 30-50 degrees. I’m looking to wear it to class, on errands, or just out at night when i go out with friends.

I think mine is a Pumori (it’s really old). I don’t think it really matters, though…I think more people have the Denali, maybe because it’s a slightly heavier and warmer polarfleece, but mine keeps me warm enough.

Personally, I’m sick of North Face jackets because everyone has them. I’ll probably buy a different brand when this one finally wears out.

Haha especially at Wake! It is borderline sickening :)

They are everywhere. but still good and practical.

Come on. Those North Face jackets are not good enough for frigid winter.

I have always been a loyal customer to Columbia. My black Columbia jacket makes me look like a snowman covered in tar, but it keeps me very warm.

I understand that many people go for style, but I just think staying warm should be the most important factor in purchasing a jacket.

So I say…

Buy the original. Buy Columbia.

I now see that the original poster wanted a fleece. I guess it does not matter if it’s a fleece…

I still think that Columbia’s fleeces are still better though :D.

Barbour, though it’s hard to find in the US

Haha that’s my problem ManUtd…i already have too many coats that keep me super warm. I want something for the spring/fall that is both warm, yet lightweight and can breathe and won’t roast me in 50-degree weather. That’s why i’m going for the fleece.

I didn’t even know that the North Face was popular…great.

I bought a North Face fleece for $60, which I thought was a decent deal.

It’s a nice fleece but I didn’t buy it for the brand. Check out Columbia, they make great stuff.

patagonia makes good stuff too

I have the nuptse jacket which is their regular ‘puffy’ one…bought it for around 300 a year or two ago. No complaints yet, especially with their lifetime return policy.

Nah, I defiently want a fleece thats on the thinner side but still warm

northfaces are nice, but yes, they are EVERYWHERE. lol…

imo, denali still looks the best, overrated as they are. i own a pink one myself, haha (VERY old though, but still fits) i think the white and black ones look nicest though - if you ebay browse you’re more likely to find better deals.

OR if you’re petite/on the smaller side, try getting a youth northface size L or XL. i have a womens XS and it fits JUST like a youth large… and it’s pretty darn big, seeing as i’m about 5’5" and of medium build. the youth denali jackets are almost 1/3 the price of womens - i’ve seen them as low as $60.

6’0" athletic build, so I’ll probably be a woman’s medium, MAYBE small =P

Have you considered looking at Patagonia? They have some pretty good stuff.

Everyone in UVA has them. 70% of the students wear the North Face Jacket, and it’s quite a scene to watch.

Columbia is the *****. It was born to keep humans warm, dry, and cozy.
