I really want to add some schools from the northeast/middle atlantic region to my list, but I’m having a hard time finding good fits.

I’m looking for:
-Strong programs in communications, the humanities, and social sciences.
-Not too difficult to get into.
-At least 3,000+ students (I want to avoid small schools, but I can make exceptions if there are other colleges in the immediate vicinity).
-Fun social environment.
-School spirit and sports are a plus.

Just because you seem to want having other colleges nearby and because most LACs would fit most of your requirements better (except for maybe sports), I think you should look into into the areas and colleges of Amherst-Smith-Hampshire-Mount Holyoke-U. of MA and Swarthmore-Bryn Mawr-Haverford, depending on your stats. I’m pretty sure that at both the areas I’ve listed, you’re allowed to take courses at all of the other colleges in the region. Just letting you know that of those 8, Amherst and Swarthmore are the most difficult to get into, while Smith, Bryn Mawr, and Mt. Holyoke are all womens’ colleges.

Consider Marist. They have communications program. About 4000+. They have sports and compete with local colleges, their basketball is probably is their most known program. I will defer on the “fun” part.
