Im applying to the engineering school as a CE/CS bi-major. This is my #1 school and I am just really stressing yk. This can put my mind at rest for whether I should lower my expectations or not. I feel like my grades are average and my ECs are on the weaker end because track and XC meets always conflicted with major competitions for stuff like FBLA so I never did big clubs like that.
SAT: DNT
ACT: sent two 33s, super-score 34
Weighted GPA: 97.625 (My freshman year was god awful at a 94.125 but then sophomore year was a 98 and junior year was a 100.875)
Will that upward trend help me? Or is my freshman year already a turn off?
Rank: 43/539
AP: Lang, Micro, APUSH - 5
Physics, Comp Science - 3
(did not report these, thought it would just be negative to show my 3s)
EC:
MLH Hackathon Competitor: Participated in 4 of these events, won best mobile app at HACKKEAN
Internship: Worked at a small business over the whole summer and helped them redesign website and creates a sales data application for their recruitment team
Track and Field: four year varsity runner and will be captain senior year
Volunteer at Library: helped kids use the 3-D printer and print objects during fall from 10-12 on Saturdays
XC: JV for three years, varsity senior
Key Club, National Honor Society: Clubs that gave me additional volunteer work
Common app was about my first hackathon experience and how I overcame adversity in order to focus on winning
