<p>alright so i’m from MA and i got waitlisted. they said they will notify me by june 1st, but don’t we have to have our deposits in by may 1st? can someone explain this to me?</p>

<p>If you don’t mind me asking, are you in-state or in New England? And did they send you an email, because portal is down, or at least for me.</p>
<p>I’m from central MA and nothing so far!!</p>
<p>I’m guessing that NEU is releasing decisions regionally, and the first people to find out probably live in New England. Other areas of the country will likely follow in the next few hours.</p>
<p>I practically live right next to Northeastern and I haven’t heard yet. Maybe there are waves within waves of acceptances.</p>

<p>If you accept a spot on the wait-list, you must enroll in another school by May 1st. If you are admitted, Northeastern will allow you to deposit after May 1st (deadline is usually 2 weeks from when you are notified). You will then forfeit your deposit at your second choice school.</p>

<p>Hey I don’t know if this is any indication of what time we can expect to get the emails but I just found my email from them when I was deferred to RD and I received it at 8:08 pm (central time)</p>
<p>Mine was at 3:14 pm when I got my deferral.</p>
