If you haven’t heard log onto the portal. That’s how I found out way before the email

feel sick of this system… That’s torturing students and it just wastes their time waiting for a result.

@babsie94 I’m from Delaware and got accepted for Early Action, but my email came at about 9:00 PM the day decisions were released.

jmicjmic

In California and have not heard a thing, YET. Portal is not up, either. Soon, I hope!

@KDavs95 for the noncustodial do you have to get it notarized ?

California’s up. Denied.

I’m from Southern California and I got accepted to the honor program! I got about 40k total in grants and scholarships but it will still cost me around 18k to attend. My stats were 2160 SAT, 34 ACT, 800/780/730 SAT Subject tests, 9 APs since Sophomore year, 3.93 UW and 4.31 W GPA and ranked 4th in class of 600. Okay extracurriculars (club prez, volunteer at aquarium, etc), decent essays, and not too sure about the recommendations. Don’t know if I’ll be attending since NEU was my backup.

Northern California. (3.5 GPA, 29 ACT, a ton of extracurriculars in journalism and service)
Northeastern’s my top choice and I was deferred in December and waitlisted now…
They like to keep me hoping!

California. Waitlisted
2040 sat 4.2 w gpa 3.7 unweighted
Lots of ecs, varsity athlete, one really really unique ec, work experience, volunteer work etc.
**** today sucks. Waitlisted here and rejected at uva

Accepted — I received an e-mail at 10:17 PM EST

State: Florida

Received the Thousand Points of Light Award for Community Involvement
Sports Announcer at my school → (football, basketball, soccer, volleyball, baseball, softball, lacrosse, and track & field.) for all four years.
Ethnicity: White
Gender: Male

I’m thrilled (especially seeing how competitive admissions were this year).

I received the Excellence Scholarship (12k a year), and my “total awards” (which include 7k in loans and a $1,500 Work-study program) total to $37,100.

Sadly, as others have noted, even with the scholarships (national/school-based), I’m looking at a balance of 18k a year (not that much, but probably too much for undergrad…considering that “sticker price” is after 7k a year in loans)

Good luck to everyone else!

Accepted to N.U.in Program

2010 SAT
3.6 UW/3.85 W
3 APs this year; 3 last year
Varsity tennis, NHS, National German Honor Society, ~100 volunteer hours, etc.

Not too thrilled about the N.U.in Program. I don’t really want to spend my first semester of college studying abroad, and I received very little financial aid. However, I’ll consider it. I still have more schools to hear back from.

Opaline: Check out NEU scholarship page: for NMF, you will get full tuition and automatically an invitation to join the honor program.

Several people have posted the same comment tonight. NU is looking for students who would be a good fit for its unique environment, not students who regard it as a safety.

TomSrofBoson…I mention safety school not to sound condescending, but rather relate my surprise when informed if I wanted to attend, I would have to be deported overseas. That said, with rumor of 45k applications received, I would suggest the process is more about what amounts to be little more than random, albeit, difficult selection of very similarly qualified candidates - - than it is what you seem to be portraying as a timeless intimate reflection on each candidate to determine the “good fit for its unique environment”. Admissions has no clue which applicants consider NU as a safety school, other than seeing the schools the applicant is applying to through FAFSA . I would suggest rather than finding a fit for their “unique environment”, they evaluate who is likely to enroll in order to make best use of the offer.

I’m rather sad about being wait-listed seeing as Northeastern was a top choice for me. However, if I honestly consider the amount of people who applied this year and their impressive credentials, I am extraordinarily thankful for my spot on the wait list. I really hope that I’m admitted to NU i.n. so that I can go to Costa Rica first semester! Congratulations to all those accepted, I hope that I will join you eventually! :)

Got into the NU.in program which at the moment feels like a ~ you didn’t get in but we still want your money kind of thing. I know someone explained it, but can someone just tell me if this is a good thing or not? I really will probably decline since I have already lived abroad and I don’t want to awkwardly come in and not know what is happening halfway through the year AND I don’t think studying abroad is any way useful or a comp sci major. But stats are 97 UW 104 W 6 IB classes 3 aps president of computer honors society lots of clubs over 100 hours of community service in places like India and all that (Like I said I lived abroad) also I am kind of wondering why I didn’t just get in.

Accepted!! I didn’t actually get the email yet, but I checked online!!

I’m really happy that I got accepted, but the total awards I got were similar to those above (about 30k in various grants, 5k loans, work study, etc.): 38k per year.

This means that I still have 1k for tuition, and also 12-13k for misc (room and board and health etc.)

I got an almost full offer from another school (Babson) and atm I’m leaning more towards there. I really liked NU’s campus and location, and the Co-op program, (the tour guide was great - Katie? I think).

Had NU offered me the same as Babson I would’ve been in a dilemma, but probably leaning more towards NU.

Just FYI - Got accepted to Babson, Clark, and NU. Got Waitlisted at F&M, waiting on NYU and Muhlenberg.

Congrats to all other acceptances

Accepted to the NU in program
SAT 1730 ( low <-)
Gpa 3.86 UW
Some ECs
Good essay.
My stats are kind of really lower than everyone else’s , this just goes to show that your “reach” may not be such a reach

Guys, I need your advice. NU is my dream school, I literally spent months over the essays and stressing over my classes and grades because I was afraid I wasn’t gonna get in. I have to make gift baskets now for some teachers because of how much I bothered them reading my essays and writing my rec. letters. But I don’t know if it’s worth it. I barely got any financial aid.

I got 6,500 to spend on NUin, and I think 8,500 or 9,500 for regular semesters. I can do work study, but I cannot afford this school. I don’t want to have to take out loans, and there is someone in my family who has a pretty good money making job, that said they would help and pay for everything.

They said this a while ago, and I don’t think they had in mind around 40,000+ a year. My yearly income, doubled, doesn’t even pay for 75% of the yearly tuition.
