Northeastern Class of 2013/2017

Accepted and going to NU.in Ireland. Out of curiosity, why don’t we call ourselves class of 2018? Just trying to be consistent with the rest of schools?

Hi! I am actually the original poster, and you are correct. I used the class of 2017 name for the sake of consistency. With the co-op program much of Northeastern’s student body will graduate in 2018, but titling the thread class of 2013/2018 would cause unnecessary confusion.

Also, I won’t be going to Northeastern in the fall, but I am glad to have had the opportunity to attend.

It really is a nice school and I hope someone from the waitlist can take my spot.

The FA was actually quite generous. I think the total COA would have been 48k for four years, half of which would have been in loans.

@JuniorMint:
I just wonder the full tuition $41K, which you refused, go to anyone else?

It was surprising to me that my son’s information had changed on his accepted students log in after he received his National Merit Scholarship but we had not received any letter or email saying to look there again. It had different letters and forms for him to sign.

I know National Merit just sent out another round of notifications to first choice schools. I am nervously awaiting notification from NEU that my DS scholarship has been changed.

Any one remember when they heard last year or has anyone heard this year since the first batch?

We contacted NEU about this issue. They said that those that changed their first choice college to Northeastern by April 12th would see a new award letter sometime between April 22-27th.

NMF awards are posted.

Sent from my SPH-D700 using CC

I’m international transfer students, I’ve been waiting since March. Does anyone know when are we supposed to get an answer? i hate waiting, and everytime i call them they tell me the same thing there is nothing we can do other than send an email to the counselor. I just want an answer.

Accepted to Honors in CSI with 12k merit scholarship. See you all next year.
