Hello! My daughter was accepted a few months ago and today 4/16 she received the Deans scholarship. While we are grateful for the consideration it is so very late in the process and not enough to move the needle.

My son just received a whooping $1500/semesterā¦ for a college that costs 90k, thatās not even funny

Same here.. we got 5k first year then 2500 each year 
still have to pay 90k

Was he offered admission to Boston or to NU In?
Still waiting for a financial aid offer. 
SFS phone support doesnāt know whatās happening and Iāve paid my deposit since SFS is saying I wonāt be getting the package before May 1st so all my options expire so I guess Iām going to have to double down and hope for the best. 
Hopefully, it comes out by the end of this week or start of next week. Iāll start calling them twice a week instead of once a week to try to get them to look into it ASAP.
Do you know anything about Cal Grant and the Oakland campus? When I visited Oakland, the SFS lady at the desk after the visit saw that I was a California resident while she was checking my financial aid told me that I could apply the Cal Grant to Northeastern Oakland via WebGrants as long as I stayed in Oakland for however long that would be which has seriously got me really considering staying at Oakland for all 4 years since at the info session they mentioned that starting this year they plan to keep around 10% of the Oakland admits to stay at Oakland instead of all going to Boston like past years. I think Iāve done it right, the only option I have is Mills College at Northeastern Un and the FAFSA code is the same as the Boston one on the website. There is no Northeastern University Oakland or just Northeastern University, etc.
I donāt know how to reach out to Oakland SFS directly, the phone support and inquiry form is all based in Boston so I donāt know if theyād be the most knowledgeable about the Cal Grant and applying it at Oakland.
I remember reading that Cal Grants were available to California residents studying in Oakland. I am not sure of he details. Contact Northeastern SFS at 617.373.3190.
The Boston office appears to handle financial aid for all locations.

Thanks for the document, I did call SFS, they had no clue. I was able to confirm that it works and the steps I followed were correct by contacting oaklandadmissions@northeastern.edu. They were hesitant at first saying to call SFS but after I explained SFS had no idea, I guess they asked Oakland SFS for me. Boston just added it to my ongoing financial aid case which I donāt know if itāll do more harm than good and just reduce my much needed aid. 
Praying for next week aid package.
I donāt know why Northeastern hasnāt considered trying to change the college name to just Northeastern University Oakland for Cal Grant and asked to have the freeway and road signage changed to reflect that as well, right now still shows Mills College when we were driving to Oakland.
Apparently, it was part of the merger agreement that the name āMills Collegeā would be retained, at least for a period of time.

Got the most generous offer from Northeastern today. 100% attending and hopefully I get my single that I requested at Oakland.

Do you know when they give you the move-in date and the dorm information usually after the housing form closed which was May 8th (did we get single/double, which hall, room #, mailbox info)? I donāt know if itās different for Oakland or not. I know the move-in date is either going to be Saturday, August 30, or Sunday, August 31 depending on what Northeastern chooses for me.

Hi my daughter is being given Greece for her first semester. Could you give me some inputs on the experience there.
There is a Northeastern University Parent Group on Facebook. I recommend joining and you can find many parents with students who have studied in Greece, and other good information about Northeastern in general.
