Oakland is a very pretty campus (formerly Mills College), and they told us when we toured it that you can switch to Boston after one year if you prefer, or finish your degree in Oakland (for CS major).
Edited to add: here’s our Oakland campus visit report. My D was not interested in Oakland since she didn’t want any of the majors offered, but for CS it could be great! Colleges your child crossed off the list after visiting, schools that moved up on the list. Why? (NO REPLIES) - #7442 by tamagotchi
