You can reach out to admissions and ask. And if they say yes, ask them where you would find that verbiage.
So…ED2 decisions. Does anyone think today’s the day? 2/18? Any guesses on when?
For applicants poking around next year, I’ll answer my own question - ED2 came out in the portal at exactly 7pm tonight, W 2/18, no email first. My kid is going to Boston!!! ![]()
Lots of stuff going on lately… nu.in location registration, NU Accelerate… we will have a busy month!
My niece has been admitted to NEU Behavioral Neuroscience major in Oakland. She is an international student. Is the Behavioral Neuroscience major program worth the cost for an international student as compared to similar programs at UPitt or UMich or Rutgers which are other schools that she has applied to? Any insights for this program will be helpful. Thank you.
What is the cost difference? It can’t imagine U Mich is that much less.
Oakland is not the main campus.
Pitt and Rutgers will be less - but can she afford the NEU tuition and what is the plan to do with that major - that would make any of them worth more than the other?
They are four very good names - with Pitt well known in neuro.
I looked at College Raptor and NU was the top with a 15th rank. But research.com shows Pitt best at #12.
And all are fine names - and I’d dig deeper. But in general, and it depends on the ultimate goal - but from an ROI POV, I’m not sure one can be justified over the other - but obviously they are four different schools with four very different environments - which fits best - and where will that take them when they go back home?
Pitt is a phenomenal school in general, and this program is excellent there. It’s also far less expensive (around $68K/year). I also prefer Pitt’s campus. I do not think the extra $$ at NE is worth it, but it depends on what your child wants.
