Daughter got into NEU Boston, Biomedical and mechanical engineering. Not sure what unweighted GPA was, but only got one B in high school (and sent first quarter grades - all As including AP Calc and AP Physics C). SAT = 1560. Numerous APs (and self-reported 5s, including in AP Bio). Many many extracurriculars (she is TOO busy in my book - mostly dance and athletics, but also linguistics club, coding and community service). She likes to be busy!!! And she LOVES Boston! She is ecstatic! I was hoping for some merit money, but she did not mention any. Oh well.
Accepted NUin!!!
Congrats new Huskies! Welcome to the Pack.
Daughter was accepted!!! NU Boston - Chemistry!!!
She’s beyond happy!!!
Son got accepted Boston campus, CS.
applied all locations.
Looks like they are asking us for CSS to review and provide merit scholarship. They added a new document with the details.
Accepted, Boston. Have there been any rejections yet? Or is this just the first wave? I received an email from Northeastern at 7:20 pm telling me to check the portal.
Congrats! I will also be doing Chem!
Did you apply for financial aid or no? Congrats to your son!
Thank you for sharing this detailed information. NU has never provided such detail about admissions to each of the alt entry programs. Looks like they filled about half of their Boston spots with ED.
What do you mean by “tab”? Separate email later on?
43% to Boston, about 50% of their Boston frosh class.
In the past the admission site had separate tabs for finanial aid and merit aid.
Merit and FA is usually shown on a separate tab in the portal.
Typically there ar pe very few rejections at ED. Many get deferred or the alt entry programs.
Typically separate tabs in the portal. Look closely.
Congrats to all who got in! If you can post merit aid and stats that is always helpful for future applicants. For those deferred, know many get in with aid in later rounds.
Easier to see on a laptop instead of a phone.
Thanks! She actually did get some merit money! Everything helps!
We don’t qualify for Financial aid ( higher income) but was looking for some merit aid. Looks like they want us to submit CSS even for merit.
