Northeastern Early Action / Early Decision for Fall 2024 Admission

Now I’m worried, I don’t see “defer my application” in the source code…

that’s good news, probably accepted!! what do you see on line 587?

Hang in there! Maybe we will be pleasantly surprised!

Did anyone see otherwise?

I have a 1560 SAT and a 45/45 IB, but I still see the defer your application. Am i cooked?

let’s hope I am wrong!!!

Folks let’s take a deep breath!

I just checked my '23 son’s admission portal (current 1st year on Boston campus), and the source code also says “Defer Your Application” on Line 587. But that text doesn’t appear anywhere on his portal! He was admitted ED1 last December and never was asked to defer application. Maybe the text is part of the code that gets toggled on or off when decisions are posted.

thank you

Sorry, I see it now. Initially I was using Safari and didn’t see “defer my application” on line 587. Then I checked with Chrome and it was indeed there.

The decision will come soon, praying for all the kiddos out there anxiously waiting on decisions. You did your best, you will land where you are meant to be, so no matter the outcome trust in the process.

Or even if you don’t trust in the Northeastern process specifically , trust in your worthiness and hard work over the years!

How soon?

My D24 is participating in this particular lottery, and while I would describe several of her schools as “lottery schools,” I’m definitely not trusting NEU’s wacky process!

I put my lunch money on less than 2 weeks :joy:

The wait is killing me

Every week the wait is killing me. I have twin girls with very different school lists. There are 20 schools between the two of them and each week we seem to have one we’re waiting for. This period between last week until March is going to turn my hair gray. All the reach schools are now remaining.

Good for me, as my twin boys applied to the same schools! They want to go together if the school is more than 6 hours drive or a plane flight away from home. NU is 3 hours away so they don’t mind going alone

Do you remember if last year NEU posted anything on their social media prior to sending out decisions?

yes they did!
