Yea i have the defer form and waitlist one. The fact that itâs also a waitlist makes me hopeful bc being deferred â waitlist so why would i have both forms if im deferred

On reddit itâs also worded strangely, itâs worded as those options are shown UNDER the place where it says âupload other documentsâ. So as I initially read it I thought I didnât have it but as I played with the buttons on the page I realized that itâs WITHIN the âupload other documentâ drop down. So i think people who say they donât have it may just be confused. As you said earlier too, why would you have both the deferral and the waitlist options if your decision was made? It just makes no sense which makes me think itâs just standard haha

I only have Waitlist Interest letter but no Deferred option, so it looks like some have both waitlist and Deferred and some have only waitlist. I wonder if there are any that donât have either option.

My daughter was accepted EA in 2023 on January 29th. (Iâm not sure if anyone remembers this but accepted students got an email that they could log into their NU portal BEFORE they got the actual acceptance letter and everyone was freaking out.) So if it follows a similar pattern, it could be this Saturday?
You used to have both the Defer and Waitlist options and now they are both gone or just the Defer option is gone?

I remember that all too well. My D23 did not receive that email and was deferred and ultimately accepted RD. Of course, we were feeling extra anxious between the time the email went out to some students and when decisions were posted. I think the timing that year was an anomaly because of the email glitch. I donât think results are usually released on Sat.

so you think it was supposed to be the day before (Friday) or the next week?
I think it was either supposed to be (i) the following Wednesday but then they had to scramble to release on Sat after the snafu for damage control; or (ii) the Wednesday before but the housing email went out first and then they had to regroup and took the extra few days to release in batches to avoid further glitches.

I had both Waitlist and Defer yesterday but today I only see waitlist
I donât think it means anything⊠I had the same thing yesterday, both options, now my defer option has also disappeared and I still have the waitlist one, I think decisions will be out from Jan 29th-Feb 5th for EA. Usually last Wednesday of January as I hear or the first Wednesday of February with sometimes doing it on Fridays/weekends in between.
Does anyone still currently have the deferred new information in the dropdown? That is gone for me as well now
