This is great to hear. Just found out mine was admitted for NU.In for bioengineering. Where did your son go?
D25 got into CS with first year at New York City Scholars program. No merit. NE was not in her top of the list anyway. So, not really disappointed
I got deferred. Does anyone know what this could mean for my application? A possible chance or do most people get deffered

Are decisions out for ED or EA?
My daughter was accepted to Oakland for first year with a transfer to Boston second year! And a nice scholarship! She was really preparing for bad news knowing how many applicants there were. So exciting!

Daughter deferred, 102 gpa, 1540 SAT (760/760). I’m not overly concerned, she already has other great options.

My daughter deferred as well. Her attitude was that the AI algorithm must have detected her marginal interest the school.

It is one of my daughter’s top schools, and in this case I think it actually hurts her that she didn’t get to write a supplemental essay! We visited in junior year, but she hasn’t been “engaging” much since.
Have you ever been to the Oakland campus? It is seriously gorgeous!

Their no app fee/no essay is a double edged sword. Makes it easy to apply but it dehumanizes the entire process since AI is most likely doing all the work. I am sorry she got deferred but hopefully she gets in eventually!

When my D clicks the “View or Download Your Award” button, nothing loads. Does this mean she didn’t receive a merit award?
Daughter accepted to Boston campus. No merit. Surprised (at acceptance, not the lack of merit lol) but I think she showed the right level of interest and that made the difference.
It was also the only school she applied test optional to, which was annoying because she had reasonably strong scores, but that’s what the AO told us to do and apparently it was the right call.

Daughter accepted to Boston campus for environmental science. 43/45 Predicted IB, do not submit SAT, decent ECs and leaderships, Tennis captain. So far get accepted from some EA schools Purdue, Wisconsin, U Florida, Case Western. Deferred from Babson and rejected Northwestern.

My daughter got into the London scholars program with a deans scholarship of 9K 4.0/5.8 35 ACT (one sitting) lots of sports and leadership. She isn’t super pumped about the London scholars and the low merit but oh well.
Daughter got into NU in program for finance. TO, 3.8uw, 5AP, excellent business ECs including two internships in Boston. Local public school outside of Boston with a higher school acceptance rate than nationwide. No merit. She likes the global start but the cost is considerably higher than other schools she has gotten into.
can we assume if there is nothing mentioned in the letter, there is no scholarship…
