Was accepted to the school of business today. Came as a complete surprise to me. NEU is my top choice, but I already committed to Syracuse. I’m not sure what to do now If I attend Northeastern I will have to go for three years versus two. Do you guys think it is worth the extra investment? I do feel like I will be much happier in Boston.

Transferring from a CC with a 3.5 GPA (47 completed credits) and did not fulfill the Calculus prereq. I should note though I did get an A in a level 2 NEU math course. My GPA was also upward trending. I am providing this information because I know when I was getting ready to apply I found these statistics helpful. Best of luck to everyone else!

The second bombing suspect was captured and everyone in the city is celebrating. I’m sure things will get back to normal but it is still unclear if these two were the actual people responsible for the bombing on Monday.

@mikeluis If NU is your first choice you should definitely go for it. It’s also in Boston, an awesome city to be in for college, unlike Syracuse. But $950 is a hefty sum

Ajax16, The CSS Profile is another application for financial aid that is supposed to be submitted with the FAFSA. The deadline was Feb. 15, but you may still be able to fill it out and submit it. I would contact a financial aid counselor and talk to them about it.

Keep calling the financial aid office. I was accepted and my financial aid application was incomplete and as soon as I submitted the necessary documents, I received my financial aid package about 4 days after I was accepted.

hopefullyfresh,

I received my acceptance letter exactly one month after I submitted my application.

Hi guys. been following this thread a fair bit; making my first post now.
Been waiting on Northeastern for about 3 months now. Got everything in around January but still no reply. One of my documents in the portal got updated and was “received” sometime in March tho. Talked to an admissions rep and he said transfer students should receive our decisions before May1st because thts the deadline for the deposit I believe.

However, I just checked my portal today and they’re saying now i need a F1 Transfer form? Does anyone know anything about it? Should I be sending it in soon?

F1 transfer form?
are you an international student?
Mostly I guess you will be accepted because it is usually required only for ppl who got accepted.

I got my aid 20 days after my acceptance. And the credits showed up on the same day I was accepted! If you were accepted, so you will probably get those things anytime soon

would anybody that has their scholarships / finaid in place mind to share how much they got? or at least the percentages? My sister got in and is submitting all her stuff this week. If would be a BIG deal for her to transfer because she’s transfering from a T3 school.
But I read on the website the largest academic scholarships are like 5k?
Anybody in the middle class? (that awkward place where your parents CAN afford tuition but they have to empty their savings) what did you get?

potatopancakes, I got the prestigious International Scholar. It was $7,500 for the 2013/2014 academic year and after that it will go down to $3,750 per academic year.
I didn’t get financial aid because I’m an international student, so just the merit aid.
