<p>I received an academic scholarship for $7,500, but I also received pretty good financial aid.</p>
<p>I received the Northeastern Achievement Award in the amount of $10,000 per year (so $5000 per semester). No financial aid, though.</p>
<p>Thanks guys! I guess it depents on the financial aid…it’s nice that they do the CSS Profile because you can enumerate expenses better than with the FAFSA. </p>
<p>But it looks like 10,000 per year it’s the max merit aid they give out for transfers</p>
<p>@MyChemicalLoofa you could try writing about any extenuating circumstances your family might have asking them to reconsider your aid, my sister is explaining how next year I’ll be in law school and our little sister will start college so our family’s expenses are going waaaay up (and are currently very high, despite high income)</p>
<p>will i get an email when saying whether ive been accepted or will i only know by mail. im like certain that my parents wouldnt tell me because they would want to make sure i wasnt slacking off lol. any wpi students on here?</p>
<p>@bcrafton You’ll definitely get an email before anything stating your decision is available. If you nervous to open up the email like i was, you’ll get another email a day later if your accepted inviting you to attend the welcome day of the college of your choice.</p>
<p>Where do you find your aid award? I’m looking at my financial aid status site and under documents it says that I received Perkins loans, and work study but it doesn’t say the amount? </p>

<p>Hey guys, how long after receiving your acceptance did you get a package in the mail? I still haven’t gotten anything.</p>
<p>AustinU, I was accepted on March 15th and I didn’t get anything.</p>
<p>The only thing I got from Northeastern was the letter to check my status online (before admitted) and a letter when I registered for the Welcome Day.</p>
<p>Maybe they only send a package if you accept the offer and decide to go? Idk, it seems nobody got anything in the mail</p>

<p>Hey @ Yoshi45, I also haven’t received my decision yet. I’ve called and many of them said end of the week to get me off of the phone. I called today for the final time and she told me where my evaluation stood and the delay is up to another 2 weeks. Due to my school situation i cant wait for their decision anymore. Good luck on your wait and I hope you get accepted!!</p>

<p>I decided to call them today and they told me within a “couple of weeks” meanwhile, I called them a few days ago and was told that I would hear back “within days”.</p>
<p>I got my aid award today. 20k in merit and 12k in loans. 3k is subsidized</p>

<p>Bcrafton, you may not necessarily get an email. I never received any emails telling me to check my status. It seems to be a bit different for everyone. </p>
<p>hopefullyfresh, myPaws doesn’t show up in my portal either. It’s supposedly on the right hand side under the self-service tab where the links for financial aid status is. </p>
<p>For those still waiting, hang in there. They said they received a lot more applications than anticipated for freshman so it took/is taking longer to get to the transfer students. </p>
<p>Just got my award today. Pretty happy. 26k in awards/grants and 11k in loans.</p>
<p>They also said that they do not send out packets to accepted transfer students. Only freshmen. </p>

<p>Your actual award should come within a day or two. It shows that you received them before showing your actual award</p>

Freshman at WPI
3.3 gpa in electrical engineering. have taken 2 of my major’s classes, calcs 1-4, physics mechanics and e and m. and some other dumb courses to meet requirements. </p>
<p>i had all my stuff in on 4/16 but most of it was in on 4/11. when do u think ill hear back and do u think i will get in? i cant even begin how much i want to transfer out of this school.</p>
