northeastern- opinions

northeastern as of now is my 3rd choice school (after the dc schools which are my super reaches). but for northeastern, i’m applying there cus it looks like a great school. but what are your opinions about it?

Northeastern is a great school if you are interested in being in the city and getting experience in your field or at least trying out different types of work settings (Fortune 500 vs. small company vs. nonprofit vs. start-up). The internship opportunities at this school are virtually unmatched. There are over 2000 participating employers worldwide, including companies like Microsoft, Raytheon, EMC, IBM, Citibank, the New York Times, and Fidelity and most internships are paid (avg. Northeastern student earns about $50K over the course of three co-ops). As a major bonus, unlike most urban universities, Northeastern actually has what most people would consider a “traditional campus” (trees, green spaces, fountains). The campus is essentially an urban oasis. As another bonus, the school has top notch facilities ($500 million in recent construction) and top flight professors (lots of Harvard and MIT PhDs). That basically sums up my opinion of the school. But don’t take my word for it. Take a trip to Boston and visit the school for yourself. Who knows? Northeastern may rise to the top of your list.
