Northeastern Transfer 2024

Anyone thinking about applying to transfer in the upcoming year?

I am. Anyone else?

Me

Me too, does anyone have any idea when we can expect the decisions to start rolling out?

I wrote to Northeastern. They said they don’t start considering the applications until April 15th, that decisions are made on a rolling basis, and that all notifications will be made before June 15th.

Ik some ppl have already gotten accepted apparently(?) but anyone else applying for philosophy?

accepted as transfer applications for Fall 2024?

Apparently, they didnt post any proof or anything tho

I would highly doubt it in that case, I don’t think there is anyway we can expect to hear before mid-end April…

Btw philosophy sounds fun  I applied to D’Amore Mckim…

I doubt that as well since I was told they don’t start considering the application until April 15th.

Do you know when the first wave comes out?

looking at past years responses here it seems late May! That said, there are so few people who have commented in past years it is hard to really know. Also, things have varied widely in the past few years due to COVID causing overly high yield one year which caused them to be super cautious in following years but that may be easing.

I heard last year the transfer rate last year was super low/they sent a majority of their acceptances in the beginning and rejections in June

Has anyone heard of any movement?

nothing from me

A couple days ago I called AO - they said no decision have been made they are still processing everything

I think decisions will be released next Friday or the week after, at least I am hoping because this is really anxiety inducing.

In all honesty I will be so heartbroken if I have to return to my original university. The atmosphere was so bleak and depressing, I felt like a different person there. That being said, I know I am so lucky and blessed to be able to afford it and have an opportunity to advance my career, even if it isn’t where I prefer. Why are you all transferring and how do you feel about returning to your current institution if things don’t work out?

Since it is rolling, I also wonder if decisions will come faster for smaller schools, like school of nursing. Does anyone have any insight on this?

Yeah this whole process/just waiting is really anxiety inducing:(

I just feel like im super limited to my major/what im learning. My school cut a bunch of gen eds etc etc

Im honestly going to take a gap semester if I dont get in

That sounds like a good idea. My current school is ranked highly for its specific program (not overall though), and at first that motivated me to attend regardless of these other factors, but I am realizing that quality of life directly affects academic performance and I cannot justify putting my family in debt for such a sh*t place. I feel that everyone who goes where I am and says they like it are in denial.

lowkey no idea but my guess is either rolling by school or rolling as a whole. Most acceptances are in the beginning
