out of curiosity, what makes you think they had more transfer applications this year?
Did anyone else receive an email from NEU asking for additional financial forms other than the CSS profile? And were you told that your âfinancial aid package was being preparedâ? I just want to know if this is something that everyone applying for financial aid received.
someone did say they talked to admissions on the phone weeks ago who said all decisions would be released by June 15th (which would be Friday the 14th). This despite the fact that they officially give themselves until the 30th. I do think all decisions will come out this week one way or another.

They had over 90,000+ applications for freshman admissions and neu over enrolls + does a lot of transfer guarantees for freshman
But a lot of other schools this transfer season didnt offer waitlist ie: BU

May 17th, so almost four weeks ago
I have no idea, but from what Iâve seen, probably between 4:50 to 5:00.

I received mine on May 14th and emailed them on June 7th to update my portal and they said the financial aid package is being prepared, they just updated my portal this morning that they received my Fasfa n CSS. But I didnât get the transfer credits tab. Pretty sure financial aid is handled by a different department, so they will prepare financial aid packages for everyone regardless of the decisions you receive.

Oh, thatâs interesting. So, the department preparing the financial aid packages doesnât actually know if a student has been accepted? Theyâre just told to prepare them just in case the student gets in? Also, some people were accepted before they even received a financial aid award, so why would there be a delay for their financial aid award if it was already prepared prior to their acceptance?

I clicked on the new tab yesterday where it was talking about transfer credits (since it appeared on my portal). They actually requested the syllabus for 3 of my classes, as well as a description for each. I donât know if anyone else got this? I also donât know what it means. But Iâll keep everyone updated if I get a decision today.

Mine was blank? So i didnt have too but Im at a school close by so they probs have the syllabus already on hand/from other applicants?

Yeah, now that I think about it, they probably only ask for certain applicants if they need clarification on certain things. I also attend a school nearby, so that could be why I wasnât asked either.
I go to Emerson which is right around the corner, so looks like they were able to process my other classes. They requested to send syllabus for 3 which I was able to send in last light.
That must mean that they processed all of yours! No need to send anything in.

Yup, financial aid offices are always behind on everything. The 2024/2025 FAFSA delay and students not submitting all their documents are big reasons why. My guess is they start your package with what they have but take more time to finalize it once youâre admitted or submit more documents.

Stay hopeful. Someone just said that they were only asked about a few of their classes on the transfer tab evaluation. Our classes may have just been able to process.
