I originally wanted to get into a locked in medical program, but have been rejected from all I applied to except Brown’s PLME program which I am waiting on. Case Western and Rochester rejected me from their locked in program, but offered me undergraduate seat. Northeastern is also a very strong program. I would be majoring in either biomedical physics or biomedical engineering. Which school would help prepare me for the MCAT and would best help me get into a strong medical school? I know all schools are capable of doing that and it’s mainly going to come from my effort, but is there any big thing I should know about each school? Thanks!
URoch and CWRU may be the more suitable schools for your interests.
I think you answered your own question - all three of those universities will prepare you for the MCAT and help you get into a strong medical school.
However, I agree that University of Rochester and Case Western might have more opportunities to match your interests, given their strengths in the medical sciences.
Both Rochester and Case have medical schools and therefore professors and advisors know very well exactly what is needed for med school apps. Northeastern does have a good track record getting students into Med School so if price is a consideration, and NEU gave you a pot of money, go there. Their coop program will get you placed in many teaching hospitals in Boston. (I worked in coop a long time ago.)
