Northern Ireland?

We are thinking of taking a trip to Northern Ireland later this year. Initial thought is that we’d fly into Dublin but spend most of the week in Northern Ireland - Belfast, Giants Causeway and that area.

Any recommendations? Any do not miss sights?

I would not miss Derry.

We were there last summer. The Titanic Museum in Belfast is fantastic. Don’t skip Dunluce Castle either. I wish we’d had time to get to Derry but we spent the bulk of our time in the Republic. Dublin is of course, worth 3-4 days on its own. I recommend the Rick Steves book as a starting point for planning.

@arisamp ,My older son just got back from Dublin on Sunday. 10 guys on a bachelor party trip. They did not get to Northern ireland. Are you olanning on driving or taking the train to Northern Ireland from Dublin? Lots to see in Ireland and Northern Ireland. The Titanic Museum would probably be very interesting. I’ve been to Ireland but not Northern Ireland. Northern Ireland has Rory McIlroy so cool that he just won the Masters.

Our current plan is to fly to Dublin. We will either rent a car there and drive into Northern Ireland and back OR take the bus to Belfast and rent a car there later for the drive.

The titanic museum and the black cab tour are on my list for Belfast. The plan is to then drive up the coast road to Giants Causeway and then onto Derry. There are so many places to see on that route! Not sure if we’ll have time to squeeze in Donegal or not.
