Hi, I live in South Carolina I’m an African American male and I applied to Northland as a meteorology major and I’m wondering what my chances are of getting in. I have a 2.76 and a 2.4 GPA and I made a 14 on my ACT but I’m already in the process of signing up to take it again February along with the SAT. I do robotics part time and most of my energy goes towards maintaining my good grades.
Not great. Your ACT score is well below their 25th percentile range, and only about 20% of their entering class has GPAs below a 3.0.
You could get into South Carolina State, perhaps. It’s an HBCU. They don’t have a meteorology major, but you could major in physics.
@juillet that whole accreditation BS state had going on a year or two ago completely made me lose interest in their school. That and the fact my dad died in Orangeburg makes me not want to set foot there too much anymore.
