Northwestern adding W Track in ‘26

Thought this might be of interest to folks here.

Northwestern will add women’s indoor and outdoor track next year, which will allow their athletes to compete in conference and NCAA championships.

They’ve only sponsored women’s XC in recent years, so this adds a nice option for TFXC women.

It’ll likely be a distance-oriented team.

Is there anyone who has experience with Northwestern XC program, and soon to be Track?

My kid went through recruiting with the XC team. Not the direction she wanted to go in the end, but we got pretty far through the process before it ended. Feel free to ask questions- I’m happy to try to help.
