Northwestern and Finance Recruiting

Do any MM or large-cap private equity shops recruit at Northwestern for UNDERGRAD? I think BX PE recruits at the b-school but I don’t know if they recruit for undergrad. I also heard Walton Street Cap recruits undergrads at NU.

As far as banking goes, I’m assuming all the usual suspects (bulge brackets) recruit on campus. Do any of the smaller M&A advisory houses recruit on campus like Evercore, MoCo, Perella, Greenhill, Gleacher, etc.?

Thanks guys

No one can help me with this?

I think that PE firms based in Chicago probably recruit there and im not sure if some smaller M&A advisory houses recruit at Northwestern but im sure if you filled out an application you should be fine. Honestly, if the firm doesn’t recruit at Northwestern, they probably wont recruit at any other school.

not true. i am rising junior doing Econ at NU and ive extensively researched careers in finance and the recruiting process. fortunately, NU is barely a “target” school, so top bulge bracket i-banks and top consulting firms do recruit from there, but they take significantly more people from east coast ivies and top 5 undergrad business programs like NYU Stern and UMich.

i know for a fact that the small M&A shops u mentioned do NOT explicitly recruit from NU, since they are based on the easts coast. that just means they dont come to NU’s recruitment fairs and stuff, but if u want to apply online or whatever, im sure they’ll take the NU name on ur resume seriously.

you dont really have a chance at PE from undergrad at NU, in fact you barely have a chance coming from anywhere. you have to do IB or consulting before u do PE generally speaking, unless you have a great connection.
