<p>You’ll get HPME admission seperated from NW undergraduate. You’ll get email first and then snail mail. My D got it early April last year.

<p>i wish i knew why we all got rejected (and didn’t even get an interview), right now i keep speculating and it’s driving me insane.</p>
<p>I completely agree… I wish I knew what the administrators were thinking… it seems they have rejected a LOT of highly qualified people. My stats were similar to most of yours, and I really thought I had a shot.</p>
<p>The letters came so late, too… it was incredibly frustrating… I got mine yesterday.</p>
<p>Where are you guys planning on going now? Any ideas after Northwestern withdrawal? Also, does anyone plan on attending the regular 4-year NW University if they get accepted in April?</p>
<p>When you have thousands of applicants applying for a few spots, you can never expect an interview. As a college applicant this year, I’ve been rejected w/o an interview at my alma mater, many of my state schools, and many lower tier schools (like Drexel, etc.) but interviewed/accepted at many good schools as well (including 4 Top 10 med schools). After you pass a certain score threshold (maybe 3.9/2250 for HPME), your EC’s, essays, interviews, recs, etc. become more important. Those things are highly subjective. What one adcom may see as a valuable EC, another may see as worthless.</p>

I was captain of the football team this year, and probably next year. I have spoken to some scouts from Northwestern, and their really interested, so thats good.The only thing holding me back from consideration, i believe, is my gpa. Any suggestions?</p>

<p>medschl4sure - that GPA is going to kill you. For med school, GPA is a top priority and it’s the same way for premed/MD programs. Test scores won’t do anything to change that. Perhaps if you can write amazing essays and get outstanding recs you might be able offset that. That’s assuming you have amazing ECs too.</p>
