Their JD/MBA does NOT require the LSAT…thoughts on this?

Hmm. I am skeptical.

From Northwestern’s site:

Just because it isn’t technically required, doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s unimportant. I wonder if it is truly ‘optional’.

If you are certain that you want to pursue the JD/MBA, you are probably planning to apply to more than one program. Most programs do indeed require the GMAT and the LSAT for admissions, and, in fact, you apply separately to each of the programs and must gain admission separately to both in order to pursue the joint degree.

Applicants are required to submit one application only and should follow the instructions for applying to the JD-MBA program as outlined in Kellogg’s application materials. Separate applications to the Law School and Kellogg are not required. The application is reviewed by both the Kellogg and Law School admissions offices.

GMAT and LSAT
The GMAT is required. The LSAT is not required for admission to the JD-MBA program; however, candidates may choose to report their LSAT score in the Additional Information section of the essays.
