hi! does anyone know when and how decisions are sent? email? online? i’ve searched in threads from the past and it seems they had a website up?

Ugh, that article really does not make me feel any better. I had a feeling ED apps would go way up!

Im not exactly sure how they post the results. Just last year people said they found them online. NU will probably email us and tell us how to find our results. And ya that SUCKS. ED apps shot up. Last year they went up 15% and this year 20% of that! Why is college so much harder to get into nowadays???!! We’re the screwed generation.

will NU be able to receive october sat2 scores? they came out oct 28 which i know is pretty late for ED. am i ok?

Crap. I was feelin good 'till I read that. I’m glad I put in some really good specifics about the university and campus, but the applicant numbers are making me even more nervous…

I put in NO SPECIFICS! UGH! oh no!!! ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I put in lots of good stuff, but no specifics because I didnt know any specific teachers, alumni, buildings, etc.

and yes they accept sat scores from october. send them

I actually did put a lot of specific teachers/courses/facilities, because I’m applying to SoC as an RTVF major. Actually, that kind of leads to a question I had. I heard that SoC is the easiest (but still not ‘easy’ by any means) school at NU to get admitted into. Does anyone know if my chances may go up as a I applied for RTVF at the SoC?

^I don’t know. But I do know Theater is very competitive.

Assume that the paper applications bring the final number to 2100 and that #admits stays the same; the admit rate would drop to 27%.

hmm yep I’m definetly gonna be freaking out for the nest 6 weeks

Is it possible to be accepted if you send in 2 teacher recs but NOT the teacher evaluation form?

^That confuses me. Also, noooo. I cannot believe things have gotten so competitive. We all got screwed over!

I mean, if you send in 2 teacher reccomendations (which are the essays teachers write about you) but don’t send in a teacher evaluation form(the common app form that a teacher fills out to rate your personal and academic traits), can they still accept you? Or do you NEED to send the teacher evaluation form to be considered?

I’m actually not sure. I used the common app so idk what my teachers filled out but I’m sure if the evaluation form was e-mailed to them then they completed it. If you did not use the common app then you should probably call the undergrad admissions office and ask to be certain.

Also, they send out an email in late Nov. (after all the apps have been processed) I think, telling you if your application is missing any necessary materials.

AHHHH I can’t wait until december,

The november sat score goes in right? for ED?

Did we have to take 3SATs?

I only took two…

AHH I’ve never been so ecstatic to be rejected and so depressed to be accepted…the point is…my mind is going crazyz Dec 15 Where Art Thou?

Ya nov sats count. I only took 2 two. But stanford and most ridiculously good schools only require 2, so im sure sending 2 isnt that big of deal. I sent only 2.

hey how many people did research? another question - my school has been sending at least two kids per year to NU for the last five years. would it help that this year i am the only one applying ED? I sure hope so. At this point, grades are grades and test scores are test scores - its time for strategy!

Ya my strategy is to find out where all you live, then kill you! Also 2000 other kids who applied ED. I’ll be the last man standing and their ED acceptance rate will be 100% or 0%

IBKid- 1. Not many. 2. No.
