Northwestern v. Rice

Want to major in econ or business related courses. Which would give me the best career options post graduation. Which will give a better college experience during college?

Northwestern is one of the top schools in the world in economics, and there are plenty of research and other extra-curricular opportunities at the adjacent Kellogg Graduate School of Management (you might have heard of it). While there is not an undergraduate business major, there is a minor. Economics is by far the most popular major and many people enter the business world after majoring in econ. The best i-banks and consulting firms recruit here.
I don’t know much about Rice’s econ or business program (and if there is one).

There are also business/finance/organizational management related classes in LOC program (in SESP) and Industrial Engineering & Materical Sciences department (in McCormick). The latter is a top-5 department in the nation. You can probably take some of those classes as electives while majoring in econ or even double major in econ and one of those two. I’ve seen various lists of “target schools” for major finance/consulting firms on CC and Northwestern definitely appears more on those.

what about with chem e? both schools are very strong in the sciences–but rice gave me $21,000, whereas northwestern gave me nil.
