Hey guys!

I’m about to begin my junior year at USC at a Communication major. I just transfered to USC in Spring 2010, but it wasn’t what I hoped for and expected. My biggest concern is finding a tight-knit community rather than the huge city of LA. I’m from southeastern Wisconsin, so I’m familiar with the Evanston area and know it would be a good match for me.

My GPA took a big fall at USC. I believe it was a 3.014, but prior to transferring, my CC GPA was 3.97.

Any others planning to transfer for Winter 2011?

Hey Marco,
I too am planning to transfer to NW for Winter 2011. I had been out of school for 8 years and finally went back to Eastern Michigan University where I am carrying a 3.88. I wouldn’t consider myself the usual NW student (super smart, priveliged family, etc), but I have lived more than most. I have a family and I work and attend school full time. I’m hoping that my letters were strong enough to convey my motivation and determination. Just got everything submitted yesterday with a second letter of rec and a final transcript following closely behind. And now we wait…

I am a Physics major and a junior as well. Have you submitted everything? That application process was intense! How did it compare to USC?
