<p>As a northeasterner, I agree that Northwestern has a good national reputation. It is known as a tip-top school.</p>
<p>(Full disclosure: I went there myself, a hundred years ago.)</p>
<p>As for ibanking/ management consulting- NU is recruited by all of the core firms. It is a favorite recruiting base for them. It’s reputation is golden.</p>
<p>And it’s NU, not NW.</p>
