That sounds fascinating. I’m not a winter person, but maybe in the summer. I have a Finnish heritage and have always wanted to go to Finland.
We did Southampton to Norway on Princess this year. Next year, we are booked for Viking, Bergen, up to the Arctic, and across to Norway. Two weeks in late August.

Norway is looking like a more likely option for us in 2027. We are likely to do a guided tour for part of it, including some biking, and spend some time on our own. We are considering a venture into e-bikes, because it seems awfully hilly, but we are also considering going into training mode and trying a trip on regular bikes.
Any updates from people here? Any new ideas?
Thanks
This luxury cruise/cycling trip looks pretty amazing, but I’m not sure I’m willing to spend the $$$
Honestly that isn’t a horrible price for a very expensive itinerary at peak high season. It is a luxury price point that’s for sure. I’d look at other cruise options and see how they compare. Windstar has good reviews.
Maybe there are bike tours that are less but luxury cruise lines in June in Scandinavia look comparable
I’d definitely have to think twice about paying that much. I’ve been looking at Egypt, the price is more than I want to spend at this point. So I get it
This looks like a great trip. It IS very expensive, which is likely the ship – it’s all that!. Bikes are extra, biking support looks a little weak (customers are expected to change their own flats), and the refund policies definitely require trip insurance. Reading the info, these folks have comandeered the ship for this trip and are on the hook for the whole thing, so are passing that along.
If $$$ were no object, it would be very tempting!
Thanks for sharing – it has planted some seeds.
We are headed to the fjords in Norway next year, but we are doing a cruise. Stops in Flam, Geiranger, Olden, Stavenger and Bergen. That cycling trip looks fabulous!
I’ve read some reviews, and now I’m less interested. It sounds less structured/well organized/planned than I’d like, and as you noted, the entire ship is this company. Apparently every day all of the passengers are expected to help get all the bikes up and down multiple flights of stairs. Plus, you don’t find out the rides until the morning of. My H especially likes to check them out ahead of time, including the elevation gain. I’ll do some more research, but this may not be “the one” for us.
Schlepping gear down stairs, changing flats, etc.. would be a no go for me. Luxury to me means crew is doing that stuff, not guests!
Yep, that’s the model we prefer.
I think we are leaning towards the Dolomites or/and a self drive canal boat in France. Norway will have to wait another few years.
We loved the Dolomites!
I was going to say the trip looks amazing, and I don’t think it’s overly pricey. The Windstar Star Legend looks really nice and is a fairly small boat. But I dunno about those logistics issues. I knew a guy with a super light high end fold up bike, maybe that would make it painless, otherwise….?
It would definitely depend on how heavy/bulky the bike is. Those cruisers with clunky tires would be a bear to get up & down flights of stairs. I suspect a lightweight bike might not be as challenging. With our age and balance, I’d not want to be carrying any bike on any fight of stairs. YMMV
The review I read mentioned e-bikes and tandem bikes needing to go up and down. E-bikes are heavy!
