for all you hopeful “10s” (thats the year you will be called
if you get in) and for parents of current 06s, 07s, 08s
and of course for the lonely empty nest parents of the 09s
here’s a few tips to keep up with whats going on at Dartmouth

every morning i check web page Dartmouth College http://www.dartmouth.edu/ and look
at weather and the 2 web cams (the second one you can control sometimes) the news and events calendar (click on the date)

then after work i check out Dartmouth Online The Dartmouth;
this is the daily newspaper on campus with amazing
writers…it is the oldest college newpaper!
(by the way you can get hardcopy newspaper shipped to your house
for a fee …it has more of the local advertisements)

You might want to check out www.vnews.com for a little town flavor. That’s the Valley News, the local area newspaper.

You can get your child to stand in front of the controllable web cam at a pre-determined time and actually “snap” his/her picture. Have him her stand in front of the bus stop in front of the Hanover Inn, go to the flash-based interface version of the camera and select the E. Wheelock preset.

You are talking about our kids aren’t you? I had a quick flashback about those school pictures. I’d pay to see mine stand somewhere and have their picture snapped. we can always tie them to the bus stop and snap their picture :eek:

And the Dartmouth Beacon:
www.dartmouthbeacon.com
A conservative slant, but pretty different tone than the Review. Has very high quality writing and interesting thoughts on current events/political situations.
