Essays: One on how I had to stand up for someone while losing many friends in the process, one on what makes Penn a good match for me (I said it would be a dream come true muahaha). The essays were pretty damn weak in my opinion (did them two nights before).

Other: Above average teacher recs, excellent counselor rec.

PS: I am the luckiest SOB alive. I happened to stop by the office one day and my counselor came up to me and said that Penn called and wanted my QUARTER grades. I got 3 of my teacher’s to do a grade change all within 1 hour. Wheeeeeewwww…

you got your teacher to change your grades? haha i wish mine would do that!!

Deferred…the slow death is correct…but I’m not expecting to get in the 2nd time around, the competition is so much more intense, ehh…I’ll just go to BU where all my summer friends got in ED

By stuff on Friday, December 13, 2002 - 05:32 pm: Edit

Tilda - congrats to you too! my friend was deferred, although I can sort of understand since he applied to M&T which is much more selective than Wharton. My guess is that he will at least get in to Wharton in April.

Yeah, I’m from boston…where are you from?

By ~ on Saturday, December 14, 2002 - 11:24 am: Edit

stuff: boston also considering the proximity, we should contact the penn people in the boston area this summer (i think penn sends us a list of people who live near us) about future traveling plans. man… i am EXCITED.

By stuff on Saturday, December 14, 2002 - 08:55 pm: Edit

Yeah, I hope they send some sort of list. I’m psyched - still recovering from the shock!
