not a great gpa, high aspirations

so ever since i was younger, i used to be the top of the class and whatnot, but starting high school for some reason, i just started getting really lazy and my grades started to drop. unfortunately, going to an extremely competitive school did not help. i had A’s and B’s, and then got a C sophomore year and a D my junior year. i moved the second semester of my junior year and proceeded to get all As at my new school. Now I am a senior and I have NO idea what college I want to go to. here are my scores:

i’m rank 52 out of 500.
my weighted total gpa is 3.75, non weighted 3.50.
i’m trying really hard to redo a class that i previously had a D in, so hopefully my gpa goes up.
my SAT is 1730.
i took the ACT this month, so i’m waiting for my results.
i have a LOT of extra curricula’s and a lot of volunteer hours.

i would like to do pre-med and minor in maybe international relations or journalism. i want to apply early somewhere, but i need help deciding where i should apply to.

so my questions are basically:

 1. where should i apply for early action?
 2. where should i apply for regular decision?

PLEASE help me out! i’d love some reach schools and safe schools as well :)

thank you!

You need to provide us with your criteria for selecting a school - size, part of the country, distance from home, weather, vibe, urban/suburban/small college town, major ECs that you want to continue, etc…And most important - what can you afford? Your state of residence would also help because your in-state option is generally a good starting point.
