Not a peep...but who's nervous?

So I haven’t heard a peep…from the Ugrad Admit office regarding any missing documentation (my school doesn’t do Mid Year Reports, we run on trimesters like a pregnancy) or an alum interview.

Guess I’m writing to search for those alike? By mid March…

I got an alum interview but I think that had more to do with the area I was in than anything. My school doesn’t do midyear reports either because we’re on trimesters, but I believe that they sent an “update” anyway, which made me even more nervous! But either way, if they didn’t send that, I haven’t heard anything else from Columbia either. Getting nervous. They are like the mystery school to me, the only one that is really really set in when it replies and how it replies, etc. We’ll see how it goes. Best of luck to you (Im sure not hearing from Columbia doesnt mean a bad thing… think about how many applicants they got!!! I just happened to live in a good area for alumni who weren’t too busy  )

I had my alum interview, but it was quite a while ago (late December).

As far as missing documentation, the Columbia tracking site showed I was missing a recommendation letter, which freaked me out because I KNOW both were sent in. I emailed them and they said not to worry about it, that they would have already contacted me if they were missing any information. So I guess no news is good news.

Hi Jegan3,

Looks like we are both on same threads. Same thing happened to my S as well.
He mentioned that although both his recomm letters were indeed sent by his school, the site showed that only one was rec’d.

The admissions office mentioned to us that if they are missing any key documents, they would call us, and that we would have 72 hours to fax in the information.

So, I guess, it’s OK for now.

the same thing happened to me when i checked my status one day in february. i knew that i’d had my guidance counselor send both letters, but only one had been received. we called columbia and they said that only one is really necessary (which doesn’t make sense since they ask for two? but whatever)
