<p>Isn’t UCSD closer to UCI/Davis/UCSB in terms of average GPA/scores than LA or Cal? So I consider it more a mid-tier than a top-tier, but that is just my opinion…</p>

<p>Everyone needs to take a breathe. Be happy for those who got in and send hope and good thoughts and prayers to those who are still waiting. Also, just keep in mind that those who have been rejected might need a little time to get their heads around the news.</p>

<p>Yikes, Curroke. I realize that you are frustrated that you didn’t get into the college of your choice, but you don’t need to take it out on people who were admitted. There are other factors involved in admissions that are not so black and white. Just chill, and realize if you were a match for UCSD, UCI should more or less be your safety or low-match.</p>
<p>On other news, I haven’t heard from anyone who got accepted into UCI for Criminology, Law and Society…</p>

<p>@sweetxsimple - My first choice major was Criminology, Law, and Society, and I haven’t gotten in yet either. I only know one person with that major, and he got in already (and the honors program, at that). </p>
<p>However, his stats were off the charts… 2200-2300 on SAT, 4+ GPA, basketball, speech and debate, President of Club Med, etc. etc. Also, he’s been hiding his admission from his parents because he doesn’t want to go there…
Talking to him makes me feel so inferior >_<;;</p>
<p>So yeah… but someone told me that the waves of admissions are random? I hope that’s true, but I also think it’s cruel. It’s putting so many people through unnecessary emotional turmoil.</p>
<p>I still haven’t heard back from Bio yet, even though it appears that all the science major results were released. This does not look too good…
