Not being able to go to Boston because of the money :(

FinAid was horrible. Absolutely horrible.
Anyone else in this predicament? It sucks. I really like that school.

I’m in the same position…:frowning: There’s no way I’m going to be over 100,000 in debt when i graduate.

yeah im totally in the same boat. See part of this was my own fault bc i didnt know that the css profile had to be filled out along with the fasfa. Well i found this out around the time i got in and i recieved a lovely letter stating how even if i were to fill out the css profile it still wouldnt help me bc all their funds were exhausted. I only got the option of a staford loan of 5500 a year! Also i went to one of the off campus open houses and i with snarky and snobby financial aid rep that there was nothing that they could do about anything at all. They budget for their funds for the rest of the four years. So whatever financial aid package u got is what ur stuck with for next 4 years. I cant even reapply even for next year if i went to BU. So yeah thanks for reading my rant whoever u r in cyberspcace. For those who cant afford the luxury of paying for a quality education i get u.

*I met with

unfortunately i cant go either. honestly the worst feeling. wouldve been better if i was straight up rejected. whatever, im either going to Syracuse or LMU.

Sorry about the terrible financial aid awards. Remember, this is the reason why BU accepts so many students, since they assume that many cannot afford to attend. If they were to become need blind entirely, most of us wouldn’t even have an acceptance letter to begin with. Think about that for a moment, if all of us received absolutely fantastical aid packages and ALL decided to attend the same year.
