After taking only a 5 day break I’m starting to get a lot of grammatical errors? And my ACT English speed isn’t as fast as it was before (4-8 minutes extra time) now to barely making the time.

How can I get to the high 30’s?
Most of the tests I took were from the McGraw ACT 10 book.

Use the Real ACT guide, read a lot. I don’t know how else to help.
I got a 35 E w/o prep, so I don’t know how to help with preparation! Sorry!

First, you need to identify what types of problems you are getting wrong and determine why. Then read up on the concepts and do practice those specific problems.

When you can successfully identify problem types, you timing will definitely improve. A 5-day break should not mean you have forgotten everything. My thought is that you should spend more time working through fundamentals before you return to practice tests again.

Something else you can do is go through old tests and take them again. If get the same questions wrong again, you can accurately determine what you need to work on.
