Not NASAD Accredited.. is that okay?

Something that collegeboard.com asked me to do when I decided I wanted a BFA in Graphic Design was to check to see if the school is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art & Design.

According to NASAD’s website, NU is not accredited. Since I am going to be a BFA for sure, this seems like it should be important to me but I don’t know how important it is!

NU is my #1 choice right now! But if this is an issue I will definitely take that into consideration because NU is also my most expensive choice!

So basically, I understand what it means to be accredited by NASAD (basically a common curriculum between art schools, and getting accredited is voluntarily) but what I don’t understand is what it means to NOT be accredited by NASAD.
